Chalfont St Giles Infant and Nursery School was delighted to learn the school had rocketed to success by achieving the highest possible rating of 'outstanding' in its recent Ofsted report.

The school, in School Lane, was praised by the inspectors for developing the 'personal, emotional and social skills' of the pupils and for producing 'rounded, happy children who love to learn'. The Ofsted report also noted how many parents used the word 'fantastic' to describe the school and said that 'the adults enjoy being at the school as much as the children do.' The school was also praised for its contribution to the community through such activities as maypole dancing and harvest festival.
Headteacher Elen Peal said: "This is an outstanding achievement for the school and reflects the hard work and commitment shown by all key stakeholders, including the staff, pupils, parents and Governors in ensuring the best standards of education for the children in our care."
Lisa Webster, a parent of two children at the school said: "I'm not surprised in the slightest, children enjoy every minute of their day there. The staff, PTA, governors and parents create a really strong school community, which is very much part of the village community. That's what makes it so special."
