My Chalfont St Giles: Fiona Harnett

CSG-Fiona-My-Town.jpgFiona Harnett has lived in Chalfont St Giles for the past 2 years having moved there from Ealing. We caught up with her to talk about life in the village.

What do you like about Chalfont St Giles?
I like the pace of life here. That was partly why we chose to move here. It is a very nice, picturesque village and I like the fact that it is in the countryside but also quite close to London.

What would you change about the area if you could?
I do not like the grammar school system in Buckinghamshire. I think that it is completely outdated and I would like to see it change to become in line with the rest of the country.

What do you think of the village's Christmas decorations?
I think they are very good and I like it how the area is lit up for the time of year. I do think it could have done with a bit more variety, but overall I like he look of the place and think it's very pretty.

How do you think Chalfont St Giles compares to other villages in the area?
We came to the village because we wanted to live somewhere that had a proper village feel and I think Chalfont St Giles definitely has that. I think that it has managed to retain its character and is much more of a village than Chalfont St Peter or Gerrards Cross.

Look out for our reporters on the street and you could be next to feature in our My Town feature.

We'd like to hear from you.
