Police clamp down on St Giles speeders
An enforcement day by Thames Valley Police in Chalfont Giles trapped fewer speeders but discovered a large number of drivers flashing their lights to warn others about the speed traps.
On November 26, police in Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles pulled over 10 motorists who flashed their lights to warn others as well as those not wearing seatbelts or using a mobile phone.
PCSO Isabel Brennan said: "The Nags want speed enforcement and it is unhelpful to flash someone as a warning. It is an offence."
But they issued less than 10 tickets for driving at more than 30mph despite speeding being identified as a priority for Neighbourhood Action Groups.
Narcot Lane in Chalfont St Giles and Austen Wood Lane in Chalfont St Peter were particular 'hot spots' for speeding.
