Annual library trip for St Giles pupils
Youngsters in Chalfont St Giles were treated to a trip around the village library this week.
Children at the Chalfont St Giles Infant and Nursery School visited the library and were shown around before being read a story in a bid to encourage them to use the facility more.
The annual trip is designed as a way of teaching children that reading can be fun and is something that can be done outside school as well as in it.
Tony Hoare, who works at the library, said: "Over the space of two days, the whole school comes along to see us and we show them around. They always really enjoy the day and it is a nice way for them to find out about the library service.
"We read them all a story as well, which we vary depending on how old the group of children is."
