Cars stolen as owners leave engines running

Two cars were stolen in Little Chalfont and Chalfont St Giles yesterday after their owners had left the engines running to help defrost them.
The first car stolen was a blue Volkswagen Passat at 7.45am in Beechwood Avenue, in Little Chalfont, with a blue Audi A8 stolen from Garden Reach, in Chalfont St Giles, between 8am and 8.30am.
Police are warning residents not to leave their cars unattended.
Anyone with any information should call police on 0845 8 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
