Pupils at Chalfont St Giles Junior School worked with PCSO John Webb to keep an eye on drivers travelling along Dean Way as part of a project which saw them analysing traffic and pedestrian habits in the village centre.
Vehicles seen exceeding 35mph will now receive a letter from the police warning them to slow down.

Jackie Bicker, a year five teacher at the school in Parsonage Road, said: "The children really enjoyed themselves and it was nice for them to get out of school for an afternoon.
"They did a pedestrian survey asking people about their opinions on traffic in the village, and also took note of where cars were parking and whether they were doing it legally or illegally.
"They will now write up their findings as part of their project, and send it to the council to let them know what we have found out."
PCSO John Webb brought along a Speed Indication Device (SID), which monitors the speed at which cars are driving.
He said: "We have done this a few times before with children in the village and it always works really well. They really enjoy noting whether cars are driving too fast or not."
Miss Bicker added: "We saw one car driving at 42 mph, which is very dangerous, especially considering that there were children up and down the road at the time."
