23007267 CSG-Pancakes.jpgVillagers gathered in Chalfont St Giles and Seer Green this week for a day of pancake fun in order to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.
In Chalfont St Giles pancakes were made and served all day in the church's Reading Room, which was turned into a Pancake Cafe for the event which was organised by Chalfont St Giles parish church.
Around 1,100 of the snacks were made throughout the day, ranging from savoury to sweet.

As well as eating the food, villagers were also invited to take part in pancake races on the village green.
Children and adults alike took part in the event, which saw contestants run across the green while flipping pancakes.
At Seer Green, a pancake cafe was set up at Seer Green Parish Hall in School Lane, with pancakes being served all afternoon. Funds raised will go to the refurbishment of the parish hall.

We'd like to hear from you.
