CSP-Coin-Laying.jpgChiltern Open Air Museum is gearing up for its re-opening by asking youngsters to get involved in laying a huge penny trail around the site.
The coins being laid are all funds that have been donated to the site by the Friends of the Museum, and it is hoped that the trail will run around the museum's 18th Century Skippings Barn in a huge spiral.

The laying of the coins will mark the beginning of the new season at the site in Gorelands Lane, Chalfont St Giles and children are invited to come along and join in to help make the trail.
Anne Ratcliffe, chairman of the Friends of the Museum, said: "At the end of last season, members of our group was given a small flower pot and asked to put one penny, two penny and five penny coins into it.
"The pots were returned at the beginning of 2009 and we so far have around £100, and hope to raise more than £250."
Twins Daisy and William Rutter, five, and their brother Toby, 11, of Chalfont St Giles, will receive a special certificate recognising the hard work that they have put into collecting coins.
The re-opening on March 28 will include an event called Campaign 44, which will be a re-enactment of the year 1944 during the Second World War.
