Knights to descend on museum

Posted by Jack Abell on Jun 10, 09 03:26 PM in People

VISITORS to the Chiltern Open Air Musuem will be confronted with real life knights in armour this weekend.
A historical re-enactment group will provide a glimpse of what life was like in the 15th Century, with a display of archery through the ages and bouts of head to head combat to demonstrate the strength of medieval armour.

There will also be the chance to learn about medieval cooking methods and even beauty products from the time.
Sue Shave, museum director, said: "Come along and ask questions about costume, cookery, customs and crafts, try on armour and open a window into life as it was lived 600 years ago."
