STUDENTS at the Chalfonts Community College celebrated after receiving their best ever set of GCSE results.
The school, in Narcot Lane, Chalfont St Peter, had 74 per cent of its students achieving A* to C grades, with some pupils achieving 14 GCSEs at this level.
STUDENTS at the Chalfonts Community College enjoyed another great year of A Level results this year.
Pupils at the school in Narcot Lane acheived a 97 per cent pass rate, with 44 per cent of them gaining grades A or B.
DOCTORS at a Chalfont St Peter medical centre have hit out after being told that they can no longer provide care at Amersham hospital.
GPs at the Calcot Medical Centre in Hampden Road are angry after Bucks PCT informed them that a different group had been appointed to provide care and medical supervision for their patients at Amersham hospital.
A LONG standing branch of a popular building society is set to close.
The Chalfont St Peter office of the Buckinghamshire Building Society will shut its doors at the end of this year when the head office in Chalfont St Giles is expanded.
Fire fighters were forced to attend the scene after a tree fell on a house.
The incident happened on Saturday, August 1, at around 7pm at a home in Hillside Close.
No one was hurt in the incident, but crews from Beaconsfield and Chalfont St Giles attended to see to the problem.
