New care home opened at NSE

A NEW state of the art care home has been opened at the National Society for Epilepsy (NSE) in Chalfont St Peter.
The Rt Hon Earl Howe, president of the NSE, officially opened Russell House at the charity's headquarters in Chesham Lane, Chalfont St Peter on September 15.

The two storey care building will provide a new home for NSE residents currently living on the site in homes which, due to their age, are no longer suitable.
Russell contains large new bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, with communal areas and lounges with wide screen TVs.
NSE's chief executive, Graham Faulkner, said: "The facilities in Russell House are fantastic and will make such a difference to the lives of people with complex epilepsy and associated learning disabilities."
The new care home is named after Annette and Sean Russell, who worked at the NSE in Chalfont St Peter and clocked up nearly 80 years of service between them.
The pair retired to Ireland in May last year but returned as guests of honour to cut the ribbon at the grand opening.
Also attending the ceremony were Kenneth Ross, county president of the Royal British Legion, and his wife Nancie Ross MBE.
The new building is the first of the charity's new care homes, which are set to replace current ones which fall short of government required standards.
