New cycle path could link villages

A NEW cycle path could soon be put in place between Chalfont St Peter and St Giles if residents agree that they want it.
Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) has sent out a letter to people living near to Narcot Lane, which links the two villages, asking for their views on the subject.

This is a list of Planning Applications Registered During The Week Ending 15 October 2009 registered with Chiltern District Council.

EMPLOYEES at a museum are celebrating after winning a national award.
Chiltern Open Air Museum in Gorelands Lane, Chalfont St Giles, won £5,000 worth of audio equipment after having their audio tour judged as one of the best in the UK.
The museum entered the competition at the beginning of summer and worked on a small tour with the aim of impressing the judges.

A CONSERVATIVE Party Member who dreamed of chairing its conference for more than two decades has fulfilled her ambition.
Emma Pidding took on the prestigious role of opening and closing the event in front of the party faithful last week in Manchester.
Miss Pidding, 43, of Dodds Lane, Chalfont St Giles, wanted to chair the party conference after first visiting it 23 years ago.

ANN Widdecombe MP lent her support to the South Bucks Hospice at its fundraising lunch.
Ms Widdecombe did a book signing of her four novels when she visited the event at Harewood Downs Golf Club, Chalfont St Giles.
