Slim for Scannappeal

IF your New Year Resolution is going to be to lose weight, then why don't you shed lbs and raise £££'s for cancer patients in South Bucks!
Scannappeal, based at Amersham Hospital, is running its third annual sponsored slim in aid of its Cancer Fighting Fund. This Appeal is for state-of-the-art equipment to detect cancer, and for the treatment of cancer patients in the Buckinghamshire area.

Misbourne and St Giles surgeries are holding flu clinics for the over-65s and people with a chronic illness on Wednesday,October 15 at the Scout Hut, Silver Hill from 8.30am to 5pm.

If anyone is are unable to attend this clinic or the one in Chalfont St Peter next Thursday, October 9, then please ring your own surgery after, October 20, for information on how to obtain your flu vaccination.

Giant poisonous plant removed

Fears that a plant capable of causing burns and blindness would pose a threat to visitors to September's Chalfont St Giles show have been stamped out now the plant in question has been cut down.

The results of this summer's drink-drive campaign shows drivers are still failing to get the message about the potential dangers of drink-driving.
