A SHOW that was postponed when the cast came down with swine flu before Christmas will finally go ahead this week.
The Annual Meeting of the Chalfont St Giles Revitalisation Committee will take place on Monday, March 23 at 6.15pm in the Gardens Association Hall in School Lane.
Chalfont St Giles will be hosting a series of Lent lunches starting on Friday.
They will run for six weeks in the Reading Room on Fridays from 11.30am-2pm. There will be a selection of soups with cheese, bread and tea of coffee. Funds raised from the lunches will go towards supporting to missionary families from Chalfont St Giles who work with drug addicts to try and rebuild families.
The Friends of Chalfont St Giles Community Library present Monica Wellar who will talk about her book 'Ruth Ellis' in the Gardens Association Hall, School Lane on Thursday, February 26 at 8pm.

The Friends of Chalfont St Giles Community Library (Literary Group) present Eleanor Merchant talking about her translation of the 16th century "A Handbook on Good Manners for Children" on Thursday February, 5 at 7.30 for 8pm in the Garden Centre, School Lane, Chalfont St Giles.

Fans of 'Iron Man' star Jeff Bridges and Tobey Maguire (of 'Spiderman' fame) can see them together in the film 'Sea Biscuit', to be shown in The Reading Room, Chalfont St Giles at 6.30pm on Saturday, January 17.
The screening is the brainchild of Churches Together in Chalfont St Giles and the film, which tells the true story of a much loved racehorse, was chosen by the Rev Tim Stacey, vicar of the parish church.
Chalfont St Giles will take on an old-fashioned feel for the turn-on of its Christmas lights.
On Saturday, December 6 Father Christmas will be the star of the show.
Just before he arrives, at 6pm, a procession of village children will make their way to the village green in time for carol singing.
The evening's proceedings will continue until 7.30pm with entertainment for all the family.
Deanway United Church will be having their Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 22 from 10am - 2pm.
